To Register
• Call the Playhouse, 860/347-6143, to pre-register and to reserve your
place in a program. If you wish to apply for financial aid, you must request
financial aid forms when you pre-register.
• To confirm your registration, a $25 deposit (cash, check, money order,
credit card) for each class you are registering for must be received in the
office within 5 business days after your phone call. Please return the
registration form at the same time. Only receipt of your deposit and
registration form guarantees your place in a class.
• If you are applying for financial assistance, the financial aid form must
be returned to the office within 5 business days after pre-registering.
• Full tuition payment is due 2 weeks before the beginning of the class. If
payment is not received by this time, you will be moved from the confirmed
class list to the waitlist for that class.
• You may register in the fall for winter or spring classes as long as you
will have fulfilled the prerequisites
for those classes by the time they occur.
• Extended payment plans can be arranged, but they must be approved in
advance by the Managing Director.
• Register early—class sizes are limited.
CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:
• Your $25 deposit is refundable if you withdraw two weeks or more before
the class begins.
• If the minimum size for a class is not reached, a program will be
canceled. Your deposit will be refunded
if a mutually acceptable replacement program is not available.
• Classes canceled due to bad weather or the instructor’s absence will be
rescheduled. If in doubt, please call
the Playhouse--860/347-6143.
• There will be no refunds due to a student’s absence.
ATTENDANCE, SCHOOL VACATIONS & HOLIDAYS:
Classes and rehearsals are held regardless of school vacations and holidays.
We encourage you to attend
every class as this will make the experience much more valuable both for you
and your classmates. If you
must miss a class, please let us know so that the teacher can plan
appropriately.
FINANCIAL AID:
Scholarships are available to qualified families on a need basis. Financial
aid forms, which are available from
the Oddfellows office, must be returned along with registration forms within
5 business days after pre-registering.
A work-study option is available for teenagers whose families do not qualify
for scholarships. (For every hour of office work or assisting in a class, $7
is deducted from the RepCo tuition charge.) It is Playhouse policy never to
turn a child away for financial reasons. Call the Program Manager or
Managing Director so that we can work this out together.
