Dominick Grant (Managing Director) is a seasoned Oddfellows Playhouse veteran. As a child, he participated in numerous classes, mini-productions, and Teen Rep shows, starting back in the days before Oddfellows had their own building. A graduate of Yale University, with graduate studies at the University of Connecticut in leadership and management of non-profit institutions, Dominick brings a deep commitment to Oddfellows’ mission combined with a passion for moving the organization to the next level. Prior to serving as Managing Director, Dominick served as Associate Managing Director and Program Manager at the Playhouse over the past 3 years and site director for the Children’s Circus of Middletown. Prior to joining Oddfellows’ staff, Grant was an elementary school teacher in New York City and worked on the P.E.N.C.I.L. Principal-for-a-Day program which annually brings 1,200 private and public sector leaders into New York City schools as a first step to longer term relationships. In addition to his administrative skills, Grant is an accomplished musician and served as Musical Director for Oddfellows’ 30th Birthday revival of Middletown Fantasia last March and musical director of the Summer Musical Theater Academy at GHAA. You can find him frequenting the (increasingly) numerous eateries of Middletown over lunch break, or sending Wesleyan students on missions for delicious pastries.
