Culture Couture Instructor: Lanea Sellem Mondays: 4:30-5:30 pm (7 weeks) **No class February 17** Tuition: $105 Expressive art combining history & culture with the use of creative writing, music and role play. Seuss on the Loose Instructor: Diamond Wynn Tuesdays: 4:30-5:30 pm (7 weeks) **No class February 18** Tuition: $105 Cats & Whos and 1s and 2s, Truffulas, Sneeches, Yettles, Wockets and Wuzzy Woozoos! Exploring some favorite Dr. Seuss characters through Movement, Voice, Fun and Play! Cardinal Kids Musical Mentoring I Instructor: Mariel Middlebrook & Wesleyan Students Wednesdays: 4:30-5:30 pm Tuition: $120 A partnership between Oddfellows and Wesleyan University’s student-run Cardinal Kids, this class provides individual music mentoring with a Wesleyan music student. The lessons are tailored to fit the individual needs of different learners, and the mentors will work closely with their students to develop their musical skills and stimulate interest. Circus I: Introduction to Circus Instructor: Maegan Fuller Wednesdays: 4:30-5:30 pm Tuition: $120 Circus arts for our youngest performers. Balancing, juggling, acrobatics, clowning and more! Cardinal Kids Musical Mentoring II Instructor: Mariel Middlebrook & Wesleyan Students Mondays: 4.30-5:30 pm (7 weeks) **No class February 17** Tuition: $105 A partnership between Oddfellows and Wesleyan University’s student-run Cardinal Kids, this class provides individual music mentoring with a Wesleyan music student. The lessons are tailored to fit the individual needs of different learners, and the mentors will work closely with their students to develop their musical skills and stimulate interest. Introduction to Musical Theater Instructor: Lindsay Pytel Wednesdays: 4.30-5:45 pm Tuition: $120 We will explore and perform a medley of songs from different musicals (cabaret style!) Students will learn about different styles and genres of musical theater and know how important it is to sing, dance and act at the same time. We will focus on these areas through games and exercises and present our own medley for Share Day! Circus Arts 2 (ages 9-11) Instructors: Maegan Fuller & Allison McDermott Tuesdays: 4:30-5:30 pm (7 weeks) **No class February 18** Tuition: $105 An introduction to circus arts for the beginner and a chance to sharpen skills for the circus veteran. Juggling, balancing, tumbling, partner acrobatics, unicycling and more! Come join the fun! Circus Arts 3 (ages 11-13) Instructors: Maegan Fuller & Allison McDermott Tuesdays: 4:30-5:45 pm (7 weeks) **No class February 18** Tuition: $105 A class for circus performers wishing to improve their skills and work as part of a circus ensemble. This is the stepping stone to the teen performance troupe: Circophony, and will focus on fitness, circus partnering, stage presence and performance skills. Complete Actor II Instructor: Nicki LaPorte Mondays: 4:30-5:30 pm Tuition: $105 (7 weeks) An introduction to the art of acting and performance. Hip Hop Dance (ages 8-11) Instructor: Felicia Goodwine Thursdays: 4:30-5:30 pm Tuition: $120 We will move and groove to the latest music along with some throwbacks. Dancers will put their moves together and have some fun free-styling. We will work on footwork, technique, and create high energy routines. Register HERE for any of the above classes!! This is the stepping stone to the teen performance troupe: Circophony, and will focus on fitness, circus partnering, stage presence and performance skills. Junior Repertory Company (ages 12-14) The Love of Three Oranges by Carlo Gozzi Instructor: Dic Wheeler Rehearsals: Mondays & Thursdays Starting January 13, 4:30-6:00 pm Tuition: $250 AUDITIONS: Thurs, Dec. 12, 4:30-6:00 pm Teen Hip Hop Dance (ages 12-18) Instructor: Felicia Goodwine Thursdays: 5:45-7:00 pm Tuition: $120 We will move and groove to the latest music along with some throwbacks. Dancers will put their moves together and have some fun free-styling. We will work on footwork, technique, and create high energy routines. Technical Theater & Design (ages 12-20) Instructor: J-P LaRocco & Staff Wednesdays: 5:30-7:30 pm Tuition: $25 Learn about technical theater and design in this hands-on class. You will be given crew assignments & will work tech in at least one of the following productions this year: Mainstage, Mini-Production, Showcase or Festival. Circophony Teen Circus (ages 14-20) Instructor: Allison McDermott, Naja Muller & Other Guest Artists. Rehearsals: Tuesdays & Wednesdays Starting January 7, 6-9 pm AUDITIONS: Dec. 10, 6-8 pm Tuition: $250 A Mainstage Original Circus Production about SPIES & ESPIONAGE!! Click here for more info! ODDBRIDGE
from School TO Oddfellows!
Middletown Public School students ages 6-14 (must be in at least first grade) can sign up for ODDBRIDGE, in which they can take the bus directly from school to Oddfellows and participate in Arts Programming (before formal classes start at 4:30 pm).
Oddbridge will take you from the school bus to performing arts classes, while preparing you for a successful class and production experience. PLEASE NOTE: Oddfellows Playhouse offers art-based learning with a focus on performing and visual arts. Oddfellows is NOT a childcare center.
Oddbridge students will receive a snack and engage in arts & community-building activities from 3:50-4:30. Additionally, they will participate in an Oddfellows class from 4:30-5:30 pm or later (depending on age and program). All students are to be picked up by a parent or guardian anytime between 5:30 and 6 pm (at the latest).
Tuition for Oddbridge is $30 per class (for an entire 8-week session). Class Tuition is separate. Oddbridge is an "Add On" and should be selected separately at registration.
Financial Aid is available for all programs.
