Something Exciting Is On It's Way!

Our next performance takes the stage April 24 & 25 at 7 PM. Up to Us, written by Craig Gore, Executive Director of The Critical Exchange, is performed by the Maplewood Terrace Senior and Middle Troupes of Middletown. This powerful piece follows a group of children struggling to survive in a devastated world after society has collapsed. When they encounter a mysterious adult offering safety and structure, they must decide: rebuild the old world—or create something entirely new. Ultimately, they choose hope, unity, and the courage to shape a better future on their own terms.

Then, coming up May 14–16 and 22–23, Teen Repertory presents Dic Wheeler’s Mel Chomsky’s History of the World. This high-energy comedy blends theater, circus, and Commedia dell’Arte. Beginning in Sicily in 1626, three performers are swept into a wild time-travel adventure led by a dead philosopher-comedian, journeying from ancient Athens to Middletown, CT. It’s a bold, slapstick ride through history that explores the ongoing tension between democracy and authoritarianism.
