Leland is a graduate from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and a certified Patsy Rodenburg teacher trained directly by Rodenburg of London's GuildHall School. Leland previously served as Director of Drama at FinelineTheatre Arts for 16 years and as Artistic Director of the Tandem Theatre in Bethel CT. She has designed and led theater outreach programs in schools and community organizations and is dedicated to creating inclusive community driven arts experiences that empower young people to find their voice and thrive.
