Oddbridge Extended Day Program is an add-on to our after-school classes which makes it easy for K-8 Middletown public school families to participate in Playhouse arts programs. Oddbridge students can catch a bus directly from their school to Oddfellows, where they will be given a snack and have some supervised recreational time before classes start. Parents can pick up their children at the Playhouse between 5:50 - 6 pm. (Oddbridge is available Monday through Thursday, Sept 16-Dec 13.) Financial Aid is available to families that are not able to afford tuition. |

STAGE I: AGES 6-8 All classes meet 4:50-5:50pm Mondays:
Alice in Wonderland: A 10 minute Play with Lauren McCarthy Come for a bite-sized taste of what being in a play is all about! Perfect for early-readers or even non-readers, our in-class production will bring the zany characters of Wonderland to life as we learn foundational theater skills along the way. Tuition: $160 Tuesdays: Circus I with Maegan Fuller Juggling, plate spinning, hula hooping, tumbling and more! A fantastic introduction to circus arts! Tuition $180 Wednesdays: Fairy Tale Theater with Maegan Fuller Through games, dance and make believe we will explore theater through some favorite fairy tales and nursery rhymes. Tuition $200 Thursdays: Complete Actor I with T’challa Williams A fun and engaging introduction to the world of theater for our youngest actors, exploring characters, stories and games. Tuition $200 STAGE III: Ages 12-14 Most classes meet 4:30 - 6:00pm Mondays:
High Stakes Acting with Dan Schmidt This class will help ground your acting in truth when the stakes are high, using physical and emotional techniques, acting exercises, short monologues and scenes. This is great preparation for the upcoming winter Junior Repertory Company production! Tuition $160 Wednesdays: Exploring Characters through Theater Improv with Madelyn MacBryde 4:30- 5:50 From a prince to a frog and every role in between! This course will dive into concepts and tools that allow one to confidently embody a full range of characters. Your skills will be brought to the next level while having a great time with exciting exercises, improvised comedy scenes, and fun games! Tuition: $200 Thursdays: Broadway Bound: Musical Theater with Jenna Patton (Ages 9-14) Delve into the magical world of musical theater in this class designed for young performers aged 9-14. Students will explore acting, singing, and dancing over the course of 8 weeks, culminating in a Share Day performance of excerpts from a Broadway show. They will build confidence, enhance their stage presence, work together as a cast, and learn to research and fall in love with a character. It’s going to be a BLAST! Tuition $200 |
STAGE II: AGES 9-11 All classes meet 4:50 - 5:50pm Mondays:
Play + Write = Playwright with Lanea Collins This workshop is designed to learn all the basic elements to building a play. Participants have an opportunity to play roles such as director, writer, set design and costume design. As the youth work together, they will produce a play of their own. Tuition $160 Tuesdays: Circus II with Kayla Bucholz A circus arts extravaganza, including juggling, acrobatics, balancing, plate spinning and all kinds of other circus skills. Tuition $180 Wednesdays: Improv Games & Scenes with Lauren McCarthy Let's make it up as we go along! Come learn basic improv skills like character building, team work, and scene structure through a series of games and scene challenges. Tuition $200 Thursdays: Broadway Bound: Musical Theater with Jenna Patton (Ages 9-14) Delve into the magical world of musical theater in this class designed for young performers aged 9-14. Toddler with caregiver music and tumbling class. We’ll have a great time singing, dancing and moving through super fun obstacle courses. Circrobatics (3-6) 10:00-10:45 Introduction to the FUNdamentals of circus arts. Children will be work on juggling, balance, spinning, rhythm and acrobatics! Faerie Tale Theatre (3-6) 10:55-11:40 Our favorite fairy tale stories combined with theater, imagination and best of all… costumes! Circrobatics (3-6) 11:45-12:30 Introduction to the FUNdamentals of circus arts. Children will be work on juggling, balance, spinning, rhythm and acrobatics! Slaprobatics & Equilibristics (7-11) 12:35-1:30 A class which includes any of various circus skills involving balance or equilibrium, such as juggling, stilting, tightrope walking, spools, rolling globe, rolabola or riding a unicycle. Tuition is $220 per class. $400 for two classes! |
