Oddfellows Playhouse Presents the 36th Annual Children’s Circus of Middletown
Oddfellows Playhouse Youth Theater in Middletown is presenting the 36th annual Children’s Circus of Middletown on Friday, August 2nd at 5 pm
The Children’s Circus performance is the culmination of a five week day camp as part of the City of Middletown’s Kids Arts program. Over the five weeks the young people are trained in performance skills, acrobatics, juggling, dance, unicycling, clowning, stilting and other circus arts. The circus includes 175 children ages 5-15, 40 staff members, and a 15 piece band.
The performance, which is open to the public, will take place on Friday, August 2nd at 5pm outside at Macdonough Elementary School, 66 Spring Street, Middletown. The rain date is Saturday, August 3rd at 5pm.
As always, the circus performance will be action packed and is bound to keep you on your toes. This year's theme is a mystery! Circus director Jason Leinwand promises, “daring detective work, incredible investigations, red herrings galore, mysterious misfits, and epic car chases! Will we find the suspect and get our theme back?” He is thrilled to invite you to this investigative hunt, and is so proud to showcase the skills that these children have worked so hard on!
Tickets are available only the day of performance - $8 for adults and $5 for kids, cash only. Please call (860) 347-6143 to reserve wheelchair seating. Seating is outdoor General Admission -- Bring lawn chairs or blankets and a picnic. There is street parking around the neighborhood. The school parking lot is reserved for Handicapped & Elderly parking only.
