Pay is competitive. Housing and travel stipend provided for out-of-state artists. Supportive and fun artistic community where artists are encouraged to collaborate and experiment.
Positions available (as of March 1, 2023):
Stilting Instructor: Teach stilt classes to ages 8 - 15, from fundamentals to advanced. Choreograph 2 stilt-based acts for the Circus performance. Collaborate with teaching and design staff and supervise counselors assigned to stilting classes.
Dance Instructor: Teach dance classes to ages 8 - 15, from fundamentals to advanced. Choreograph 2 dance-based acts for the Circus performance. Preferably "outdoor-sized" dance forms like Hip Hop and Jazz/Funk that can project on a large scale canvas.

The Designer works closely with the Circus Director and Teaching Artists to establish the overall visual look of the performance. Support staff includes a Technical Director, Design & Tech Intern, Art Room Teacher, Act Directors, and youth and adult volunteers. A fantastic opportunity for the right creative spirit.
Costume Designer: Responsible (with Costume Assistant) for costuming the final performance. Work closely with Circus Director, Designer and Act Directors. You will have access to our collection of costumes, and will need to do a fair amount of building and coordinating volunteers to help with construction.
